I wake up with the crust of yesterday around me
Covering me entirely
Which itself contains the crust of the day before
And the days before that
And the years
And the generations
And the span of human existence
And of all of time
I wake up not realizing how encrusted I am
But for the timeless, eternal spirit that I am
That never sleeps
That somehow catches my wayward attention
Reminding me of who I am
Now I am awake
Now I break through the crust
Now I set myself free
To live a shock of a new day
To live new
Untampered by history
Un-held by mythology
This power I am
This power I be
This power I present to the other gods around me
Those asleep and those equally awake
Timeless fresh, new and energized
Watch out.
Interested in Mentoring?
EACH MONTH, I work with a small number of people (about 6) in a mentoring capacity. It is highly personalized and uses a body-centred phenomenological (lived experience rather than theoretical) approach and draws on mindfulness and reflective practices. If this sounds interesting to you, you can find out more here.
