How can I see you afresh
As you are here and now?
Without the history of our last encounter or encounters prior
Whether they may have been tragedies or triumphs?
How can I see you
As an expression of the divine?
A glow of pure love
To be appreciated, enjoyed, honored?
And even though my judging mind
May not yet wish to return to peace
To stop drinking this poison of unforgiveness that it feeds itself
This fatal concoction of anger, hatred, indignation, fear and guilt
There is within me, still alive, a bud of truth
Waiting to be kissed into bloom by my
Yielding to it
And when I do, I cannot but see the truth of you
That you are indeed
An irreplaceable expression of the Divine
And so the Divine that I am
Bows to you in honor of that which is timeless and true –
The Divine that you are
REFLECTION
What would it be like to see yourself afresh? As if for the first time? Where not a trace of your history, your habitual attachments, cravings, aversions and resistances can be found? Will you give yourself permission to contemplate such a ‘you’?
CALL TO ACTION
Write down 3 things that you wish to forgive about yourself. Choose at least one and see if you can forgive yourself unconditionally for it. Express your forgiveness in a simple ritual such as lighting a candle, planting something or starting a journal.
HEALING STATMENT
To forgive myself is to love myself unconditionally as I born to do.

Interested in Mentoring?
EACH MONTH, I work with a small number of people (about 6) in a mentoring capacity. It is highly personalized and uses a body-centred phenomenological (lived experience rather than theoretical) approach and draws on mindfulness and reflective practices. If this sounds interesting to you, you can find out more here.
