At the end of last year, I invited all of us to make 2015 a Year of Meditation. Since the start of this year, I’ve been posting a daily image of myself in sitting meditation on my facebook page. I do this after I have completed my meditation practice. I do this in the hope that it will encourage you to take up the practice yourself or renew a floundering practice.
If you have not yet started this year, it’s not too late. Matter of fact, it’s never too late. So I encourage you to do it.
The benefits of meditation practice are countless. From relieving stress (which is the underlying condition of almost all disease) to the deeply enriching, nurturing and liberating experience of Self-Awareness, the practice, doesn’t just benefit us, it benefits the whole world.
As each one of us becomes more peaceful, more joyous, more creatively engaged and less fearful, our relationships with ourselves and others improve, our perceptions shift, we are relieved of the tyranny of the judging mind and we are drawn closer to one another. Not out of neediness or the desire for reciprocity but out of the pure and unimpeded flow and expression of the peace and joy and power of the universe, of love, of god, through us and as us.
It’s not too late to make this year a year of meditation. Just do it. And if you’d like some help, there are many posts here about Meditation as well as some Guided Meditations. Or you can sign up for one of my Meditation Packages.
Do it 🙂
Interested in Mentoring?
EACH MONTH, I work with a small number of people (about 6) in a mentoring capacity. It is highly personalized and uses a body-centred phenomenological (lived experience rather than theoretical) approach and draws on mindfulness and reflective practices. If this sounds interesting to you, you can find out more here.
