Let’s be wise and forgive

We don’t think we do

but we live on the hard edge of our human being

in crusted shells that we carry around

with our encrusted ideas, beliefs and opinions

Yours, sooner or later, colliding with mine

neither one prepared to yield

until we realise that

it is not about yielding

Rather it is about

Forgiving

Which is

recognizing that deep beneath those shells

yours and mine

is the sweet essence of our being

pure, limitless, free

needing nothing

demanding nothing

given neither to attack nor defence

This unconditional essence

This indestructible innocence

is the same in you and me

It is the common ground of our being

Our birthplace

Our true home

Here

we are children of love

nothing else

Here

Ideas mean nothing

Beliefs – fanciful distractions

Opinions – swap cards

If we’re wise

we’ll use them all for play

If we’re not

we’ll be killed by our own thoughts

So let’s be wise

and

forgive
