Let us be unhurried in our movement as Life, as Love. Let us handle at least some moments, even one, with the tenderness and limitless love of a mother with her newborn child or a lover with his beloved.
Let us realize that this is a moment never to be had again and with the awe and grace of this realization, let us be fully present to it.
Then let us allow more such moments so that eventually, we realize that no moment ever ended or began just as no breath ever ‘ended’ or ‘began’. That all of life is a ceaseless, unified flow in eternity and that we are it.
Let us gaze softly into the world and see within the persistent, learned perception of physicality. Let us allow our inner eye to encounter the formlessness within, the formlessness that pervades all of life, unified and infinite.
Let us rest our Awareness on our Expectations, our Fears, our Doubts, our Longings. Let our Awareness shine its illuminating Light on each one so that we can see what is real and what is not.
Let us be ever so gentle with ourselves, with this thing we call ‘I’, ‘Me’, ‘My’ and by whatever other names it has been given. Let us have no quarrel with it nor any sorrow or guilt or harshness toward it. Instead, let us embrace it with the Light and Love of Awareness, thus liberating it from all its suffering.
Let us be awake and Aware today and always.\
Interested in Mentoring?
EACH MONTH, I work with a small number of people (about 6) in a mentoring capacity. It is highly personalized and uses a body-centred phenomenological (lived experience rather than theoretical) approach and draws on mindfulness and reflective practices. If this sounds interesting to you, you can find out more here.
